Not sure if anyone mentioned, but the thing on side of distributor body is
likely the capacitor and should be removed. The two pertronix wires - one
goes to the 12v source and other goes to coil. Do you have the instruction
sheet?

To all the guru's out there i have a bj8 with a mallory dual point dist the
car is neg ground and i purchased a pertronics 11 ignition kit .The
instructions seem simple enough but i can't get the car to start.there's a
module on the side of the dist i don't know if thats a condenser or a ballast
do i attach it now and were to anyone done this thanks
