drill a small hole in the float to get all the gas out of the float.
Then solder the hole up that you drilled in the float. Then submerge
the float in hot water You will see small bubbles coming out of the
float where it is leaking. Make a note of those locations and then
solder up those leaks. Repeat in the hot water until you have no
bubbles.
