Good Day Sarah;
According to the Smiths catalogue for 1949-62, the speedometer you have is for
a Triumph TR2 & TR3. [See attached portion of page] If you try an eBay
search for "Jaeger TR2 Speedometer" you will likely get a number of hits with
pictures by which to compare your speedo.
Almost immediately after WW2, the British Jaeger company was fully merged with
the Smiths organization.
The figure below the odometer refers to the speedometer cable inner shaft
turns per mile.
