Mike - great article - thanks. I confess I fall into the category of those
who really whack those knock-offs tight. Judging from the article, I would
have been over-tightening. Mind you, in 35 years of ownership, I have never
had a problem with wheels or splines, and only recently replaced the
original wheels on my 60 BT7 out a fear of metal fatigue in the spokes after
47 years of flexing. Based on the article, I am going to ease off a bit and
use a marker on the wheel centres and knock-offs to see what happens.
