I too am wary of lifting everything with 2 bolts. I use one plate that bolts on
the right front, in place of the generator mounting plate, and another on the
left rear, using the 3 rearmost exhaust manifold studs. 8 bolts in shear
instead of 2 in shear and bending. Better odds. - JRC

Not at all trying to rub salt in the wound, but I have said a few times on the
list that all that metal held up by the valve cover studs makes me nervous,
using the head studs makes me more comfortable.
Check with your insurance carrier? sometimes you would be surprised what they
cover.
