[Healeys] brush chrome kits

Someone on the list in the past may have tried these kits.  This uses a brush
to apply chrome to small parts.  I am wondering if this would work to repair
chrome.  IE: I chip a section of chrome off a new plating piece.  Could I
repair it with this brush system, or is it all hype?
