Mark,
On a urethane base / clear you need 2 coats base (depending on color
coverage) and min. 2 coats clear,preferably with no sanding in between( its
a chemical bond your after). If mistakes are made there is definaltly room
for sanding and repair. If this is a solid color you can use just 2 coats
urethane colorcoat. All colorcoat final wetsand should be 1500-2000 grit,
(with a little dish detergent in the water) then buffing process. This is a
general rule for urethanes but best to consult the brands directions your
using.
