[Healeys] Help checking car in Los Angeles

I am interest in a Bugeye in the Los Angeles area. Need someone to go between, 
check car and then when the car is picked up to present check to owner (I would 
send check ). With all the car scams on the internet I am trying not to be one. 
Willing to pay for service.
