I find this one a little hard to believe. Was this in a big Healey? In a big
Healey, if the rear axle broke the hub will keep the wheel firmly attached. If
the hub broke, part of the hub would still be attached the the wheel and the
axle. The tire/wheel would be trapped in the fender well with the axle still
in the rear axle/differential housing. Richard
