My '60 BT7 also pops out of second gear on deceleration. Second gear
only, I think (I haven't driven it in a while). I've heard it's
probably a worn synchronizer. True? What can be done about this in
these cars? ...and how soon does it need to be done before major
damage ensues? I'm pretty ignorant, though I can read a parts diagram:
Moss has synchro cones but not the 2nd gear synchronizer. Where could
I find that? Do I just need new cones? "Not a trivial undertaking"

Is there anything I should rule out as the source of the problem
first, that's cheaper to fix?
Thanks!
Richard
