Steve, You may find that the slip joint leaks more than you would like initialy or that the clamp is unsightly. I had mine welded in the car by a muffler shop. I can still get the headers in and out of the car without a problem. I also ground the front corner of the intake manifold just a smidge and blocked off the drain tube outlets on the manifold.
