Gentlemen,
We on the Concours Committee have researched this a lot and found the clips
on all the Longbridge built cars, Hundreds and 100/Six's seemed to have a
yellowish tint to them and were indeed shaped with semi circular ends. When
scrubbed with anything even slightly abraisive, this yellow finish came off
quite easily.
The clips on the later cars assembled at Abingdon seemed to all have a dull
silvery finish and the ends were slightly arched but had sharp corners on
them.
