Ken:
Brembo was / is an Italian brake parts manufacturer for cars and motorcycles
(among other products I'm sure) - an especially well known name in bike
circles. The last couple of disk sets I've seen recently labelled Brembo
(for MGB) have been manufactured in the UK and have been excellent quality
items.
So who knows what goes on in the politics of old car parts manufacture /
distribution.
The brake disc changed very early in the BJ8 production, along with the
caliper and other associated bits on the front end - a parts manual
illustrates the differences nicely, if you have access to one. I would be a
bit wary of a supplier that states that the disc is the same from '60 -
'68 - it's simply not so. The later disc will bolt up but will not work in
the early calliper. If you buy from that supplier, better make sure you
both understand clearly in advance what disc you're getting for what
calliper.

Subject: Brake Discs for BT7
I am doing a brake rebuild on my 1962 MK 11 BT7 and have been checking
around on line for brake discs. I came across a 'Brembo' brand with a part
#25010. They say that their disc fits MK11 and MK111 from 60-68. Other
suppliers show a different disc for the later BJ8's rather than one for al
years.. The price for the Brembo is nearly half price from the other
suppliers. Anyone had any experience or success with these discs?
