Jonathan. I used a gear reduction started from Brit Bits in Rye NH.
1-603-433-0001. $198.00 and I picked it up so there was no shipping. It is
one of the best upgrades I have done on the BT7. It never fails and no more
ruuunt....... ruuunt........ ruuunt....... trying to start cold. You do not
need to change the ring gear but you do need the proper adapter bracket.
That should come with the starter if you tell them the make and year of your
