G'day Bernard
There was an early BT7 MkII here in Sydney that had it's side shift box
changed to a centre shift action.
Through a system of rods that were connected to a ball and socket joint
directly under the centre shift and ran diagonal to the gearstick entry
point to another ball and socket.
This meant that the gearbox casing was actually drilled and tapped so
that the centre gearshift could be attached. In a slightly crude way it
worked quite well.

Hi everybody,
Is there a way to turn a side shift gearbox into a center shift one on a
3000 MkII?
Or
What kind of newer/easier GB may be fitted to this engine if I can't
find a convenient one, this car should have a center shift.
Bernard
