Mark, I don't remember who the vendor was of the hubs with oversized bearing
cavities but others might. I bought my new hub adapters from Hemphill's
Healey Haven. The left one seems fine, but the right one causes the rotor
to wobble enough to bind on the brake pads as it rotates. I have not
contacted Gary Hemphill about it yet, but since it has been over a year
since I bought and installed the hubs I don't expect much satisfaction at
this point. Maybe he will surprise me. Why did it take me so long to
figure it out? Well, I don't drive the car ever day, there are other things
that take up some of my time, it's a mighty pain to remove and reinstall the
hubs, and my first and second efforts at solving the problem were to have
the rotor turned, not expecting that the problem would be the hubs. Given
all that, time has a way of slipping on by.

Anyone in the market for new hubs should make sure that everything is in
good shape when they are installed, and be aware that there are some
apparent machining discrepancies in what is available out there.

OK, we're all family here. Who are the venders? Or should we all go
through this problem over and over and over again.

Personally I would make a phone call to the sales rep before heading down
this path and just ask if they remember the problem and whether or not it
has been corrected.

Thanks Guys, Mark
