I bought a roll of the double sided bubble insulation from Home Depot
last weekend. My plan is to replace the felt underlay everywhere
under the carpet with this as it is also about 1/4 inch. I bought
some of the aluminum tape to help seal seams as well as block holes.
As for the tunnel, I haven't quite decided what I am going to do with
the underside. My thoughts are to clean it with mineral spirits then
use contact cement (I am worried about it holding) or biting the
financial bullet and getting dynamat extreme for this.
