Jack: On my BN7 I had two seperate occasions with the symptoms you
describe.
1: when the car first went on the road, a very loud noise occurred on
deceleration in any gear. Changing the diff solved the problem. Visual
observation of diff gears looked ok, and nothing appeared loose, although I
didn't check the backlash.
2: RH battery mounting loosened, allowing the u-joint to contact the
battery tray. loud noise as you describe when decelerating or LH turn.
