I am have recently disassembled my transmission & am beginning to examine the
parts. The brass shift forks have currently got my attention. I don't see
what appears to be significant wear on the surfaces that mate with the sliding
gears, but I do see what appears to be significant wear in the "gate area"
where
the selector lever engages the forks. At this stage I don't actual know if
the wear is significant or normal, however I do have two transmissions & they
both show the same amount of wear in this area. I am interested in hearing
ypour
opinions on reusing them as is, having the forks repaired by brazing & who
provides this service or purchasing new forks from Dennis Welch or other
suppliers.
