Greetings, I'm inspecting the rear wheel bearings on my old Landrover and the finish on the races is dull gray. I can see the original finish where the rollers don't contact and it's shiny. The rollers themselves look shiny and there's no obvious pitting anywhere. Would the dull finish make for a noisier bearing or imply it's significantly worn or damaged? Thanks for any advice!
