Bill,
I read your original email, carefully--several times. It may not have
been your intention, but
your email sure seemed like a dig at California (why else would you
bring this up on the
Healey list--or do you really spend a lot of time worrying about what
Californians have
to pay for utilities?).
I can't speak for all Californians, but I'm sure it was clear to most of
us we'd be paying--one
way or another--for cleaner air and an attempt to counter global warning
(not to mention setting
an example for the rest of the States). Yours was the only (somewhat)
negative comment I've
heard--us Californians just figure we'll do what we need to do.
