Bottom line: The OD should NOT engage when you depress the throttle and
should NOT disengage when you lift off.
The throttle switch should only act when you switch the OD off. Its purpose
is to cushion the reverse torque on the OD when the car is in motion by
assuring that the OD can only be disengaged while the throttle is open and
the engine revs increasing. Similar to double clutching the transmission...
When you are driving in OD and open the OD switch the OD should not
disengage until the throttle is depressed.
That said, I've never gotten my throttle switch to operate correctly all the
time either. Good luck.
