Paul,
1. The Armacord on the rear panel goes right up to within a 1/4" or so of
the alloy cockpit rails where vinyl is then sewn on to be glued on to the
surface where the cockpit rail will fasten. Do you not have a kit for this
that would fit from the bottom up to show you where it must go? See picture
att'd.
2. Those removable bulkhead screws need to be long enough to go through 3
layers of carpet plus the metal panels. The removable panel will have carpet
applied to the outer face, plus wrapped around the side edges and glued onto
the back side for an inch or so. Plus the carpet on the side walls will
extend forward and be glued to the face flange. This allows for a carpet to
carpet seal along both sides. The screws I use are countersunk chrome
phillips head #6 by about 1" long, seating the head into the same little cup
washers that the rest of the trim panels use. 3 run down each side. See
picture att'd.
3. I always send these pull cables to Heritage Upholstery and Trim and they
sew the sleeves onto the cables correctly with the proper double roll over
and stitch of the vinyl edges. These are quite a snug fit onto the cables,
enough so that I don't think you'd be able to work the vinyl over the ends
after they were sewn. I don't have a really good picture illustrating this
point but this one shows how snug a fit they are onto the cables.
