If you are rebuilding your motor I would HIGHLY recommend talking with a few
of the suppliers (particularly in England) as there are several types of
pistons available, all with different advantages and disadvantages. Most of
them are made in England (or sourced by english parts suppliers) so you will
be better off going to the source and talking with someone knowledgable
about the different pistons available out there. I bought a very nice set
of 5 ring AE pistons for my BJ8 about 20 years ago from AHSpares... still
going strong. I would try the following suppliers (call them first and ask
advice) and see what they have and what fits your needs:

Although SC Parts tends to be a bit all over the place in terms of quality
(sometime great, sometimes lousy) I do note that they list five ring pistons
for the BN1/BN2 which means they will have the skirt oil control ring. I'd
give them a call and ask them lots of questions about their pistons... plus
the price is pretty good.

talking with the AH experts at BCS:
