I think he intends to put a child seat in there, and use the lap belt to
hold the seat in. If that's the case, there will be pretty good protection
for the kiddies, as many of these kids seats are like little indestructo
cocoons (although obviously still not as good as a toyota minivan).
Of course, if you feel that strongly about the safety... maybe your
shouldn't drive the healey so that you won't leave your kids without a
daddy? I think I know the answer to that! ;-P
