Replacing the alternator diodes would be the easy part. You would also
have to reverse the polarity of every semiconductor and electrolytic
capacitor in the voltage regulator.

Rudy,
With a little effort, a good shop can convert a negative ground
alternator to positive ground. It's a matter of replacing the diodes
with opposite polarity. Not sure if many would want to go to the extra
trouble.
