It's a Healey. And it will always be a Healey. The guy took liberties with
the bodywork and the paint but, hey--who hasn't?
(Okay; the concourse guys haven't.)
Anytime someone cuts louvers in their bonnet or wing, they have taken
liberties. Anytime someone shoehorns a V-8 into the engine bay, they have
taken liberties. Anytime I build a roll cage for the BN1"parts car" I'm
going to buy from Curt Carlson, I'm taking liberties.
But it is still a Healey. A Healey with someone else's vision spun into its
history.
Maybe a new judging category: "Specials". To include Nasty Boys, race
cars, art-cars. Even ugly art cars.
