Can anyone tell me what the correct torque setting is. I need to retorque
the trany flange nut now that I can hold the shaft steady since its in the
car now. My Haynes manual says the torque on the trany "main shaft" is
183 Ft lbs. Thats seems to be a heck of a lot of torque and neither one of my
torque wrenches goes that high.
I found the Healey Doc playing with this nut in the "Tech Talk" guide but
there's no reference to the torque figure. Are you out there Healey Doc David
or Norm?
Does anyone have a good torque figure on this nut?
