Hello all,
After 3 years plus, another very early BN1 (Body 156) is now on the road and
is being returned to its happy owner.
It was apparently a Toronto area car originally but was raced for much of its
life which probably saved it from rot and scrapping years ago. I've known the
car for the last 25 years and 4 owners and it was already a collection of
dismantled pieces then. Apparently it hadn't been run since at least the early
'70's.
The car was built 10th August 1953, Healey Blue, all the interesting early
details have been faithfully maintained. Note the engine colour, the door
panel grey piping, and the 2 piece dash. Also it has multi pieced fabricated
front inner fenders, adjustable steering, alloy bonnet and boot lid, 32%
overdrive, adjustable steering rod ball / socket assemblies, no vertical
"dorsal" panel behind the grille, narrow door striker chrome plates, to name a
few early features.
I'm sending 4 pics to John Sims to hopefully post on his site.
I have many more pics here if anybody wants to see any details.
