brake and ckutch fluid spec for BN4

What is the correct spec fluid for the clutch and brakes on a standard BN4
system.

My Haynes and factory manual just refer to Castrol girling brake fluid etc.

Is this Dot 3 or Dot 4?

Will a normal modern day over the counter Dot 4 do, or does it have to be a
mineral oil (LHM fluid)

The car was restored in 1992 by the PO, with all new cylinders etc fitted.
