Hi David,
This can be caused by a host of things, but the most likely culprit is the
voltage regulator. I would suggest that you unplug the 2 wires on the
generator rather than turning off the master switch and see if the problem
re occurs. If it goes away then the regulator is probably the problem.
If the car is still +ve ground and you have a voltage inverter for the radio
or whatever it will draw some current unless it is disconnected.
I had one car where the kick down relay was incorrectly wired and it was the
problem.
I find the easiest way to test is to connect a test light between the
battery cable and the battery, so that it (the test light) is carrying the
current then start disconnecting things, starting with lifting out the
fuses, until it goes out.
I'm sure other listers will have ideas.

Subject: Battery

I keep having problems with my BJ8's battery. Unless I flip the battery
switch to off the battery will go through a complete charge in about a
week. I am guessing something is drawing power while the car is off but
unsure where to start. It is not the battery since the battery is
relatively new and will hold a charge. Any advice would be appreciated.

David
