Hi, Dallas-- yes, or to the solenoid for starter, but one reason I love my
Flaming river is ---ONE cord to spark plug wire, instead of three to fool
with, or get tangled, or to ground out when connecting, etc

Ed , I connect the timing light to one of the horn leads, which is always 
hot, and a good ground. The horns on my BJ8 are convenintly located on the 
fender, right by the distributor.
Elininates the problem of running the cord to the battery.
