Thanks for your reply. The plugs are a bit black and sooty, which is why I
think that the carbs are running rich. The fuel overflow happens after a
cold shut down or hot shut down. The fuel pump is stock, rebuilt SU pump.
Even if the carbs are running rich, I don't understand why fuel is
collecting in the intake manifold after the shut down. Those little drain
pipes are doing what they were designed to do but it seems strange that it
should be happening every time I shut it down.

Ron-
What do the plugs look like? Black and sooty or greasy, or are they
nice and clean and off-white? They should be off-white, not burned
clean but nearly so. That would be a basic indicator of your mixture.
Is your engine really warmed up when you shut it down and see fuel
puddling? If so that does sound a bit unusual to me. Are you using a
stock fuel pump, no higher pressure in the lines from a different
model pump?
I would check the plugs for a first order mixture measurement and lean
the carbs if it is indicated, then go on to other possiblities.
