I don't think any torque is specified for the cam nut. I would just suggest
reasonably tight say 50 lb ft. Tighten it after you have the chain on of
course and stop the whole mess from turning by putting a block of wood in
between the crank and the side of the block.

Hi All, Would anyone help me with the recommended torque value for the
cam shaft nut?? My original factory shop manual lists the crank nut but
not the cam nut. Also, I'd like some feedback on how to hold the crank
and cam steady when tightening the nuts. The oil pan is off and the
engine is upside down right now. BTW, the engine is series 29E if that
