I used Passport Transportation out of St. Louis to transport my Healey from  
Chicago to Baltimore in 2000.  I don't recall the cost but they did a great  
job. They had state of the art equipment, were on time ,etc. and the car was  
delivered  in perfect  condition. I believe the owner is a Healey  owner and 
enthusiast.
 
I would recommend that you send it in a closed trailer- not open and at the  
mercy of the elements
