Try calling several dentist offices until you find one that seems to treat
you with respect over the phone (or get a referral from a friend in your
area).
My wife and I were in Sacramento on holiday four years back when my wife
found out she needed a root canal on three teeth.
She made a few calls and talked to a really nice Hong Kong Chinese dentist
and he took here in with no hassles and did an extremely professional job.
My wife swears he was the most professional dentist she ever met in her
life... and this guy was running his practice out of a little building in a
shopping mall parking lot! Reasonable fees, no hassle, no wait and four
years later no problems.
Hope that helps.
