The Longflo cleaners work very well provided you keep the foam
elements well oiled with engine oil. They definitely are a massive
improvement over the Coopers, which are most useful when used to scrub
dirty pots and pans in the kitchen.
Of course, it is better to go with a cloth or paper filter if you can,
but I really haven't found one to fit the BJ8's HD8s.
David Ward in the UK also sells an interesting foam air filter for the
HD8, but I don't know much about it. You can see it here (the red
one):
