I have just finished rebuilding a customers brake system, including servo and 
splitting the calipers, yes it can be done if one is careful.  His car had 
the same issue as to pulling to the left.  Initially I did not replace the 
hoses 
as it was thought by the customer they were fairly new.  Turns out they were 
not and when replaced along with the other fixes, no more problems.
