Does anyone have info on the characteristics for the fuel pump diode? With the points held closed the coil draws about 3-amps. I also measured only about 0.5 amp with the diaphragm cycling and a 3-amp diode across the coil windings. I also notice that the diaphragm cycles much slower with the diode in place and if I remove the diode while it is running, the amperage draw rises to about 1.0 amps. Ken Mason BJ7 in work |
