Hi Ken, factory used caulk behind the door tops , the chrome finisher next to it and under the chrome hoop. Caulk was a tannish color and usually very hard by now. Use was to help hold the finishers better ,seal or to keep them from rattling loose. The small chrome finisher was also prone to not sitting very well with the rear hoop screwed down next to it. On rear hoop was to seal it against body. hope this helps, Carroll Phillips |
