Healey Folks,
I'm planning a trip for a week surrounding the weekend of the 20th of May from
Lancaster, PA to near Davidson, N.C. I'd like to take the mountain route and
do about 4 hours a day in travel. That will give me some time to play along
the way. Any suggestions as to sights to see, dependable garages along the
way, etc.? I'll be passing close to Healey Surgeons along the way and I love
them to death, but that's only 100 miles into the trip and I'm really sure I
can get past there without a serious problem. Is there any wood around here
to knock on?
Given the recent tire talk I might be stopping at Hendrix for a reshoeing on
the way south or north. Those 12 year old Michelins with 5000 miles on them
are sounding, if not looking, pretty replaceable. It's not a particularly
good idea to give me wide tires as it just encourages the demon in me, so I'll
probably go for a traditional height/width/code/whatever. Anything that isn't
likely to shred at 90 mph. Was there, watched that, two tires at once.
Wasn't pretty, but all people and cars survived. Shaken, not stirred.
Now it's time to go through my own lists. Where did I put that spare fuel
pump???? Am I really only going to take the =" and 5/16" sockets? Do they
sell beer in Virginia to Yankees??????
