Reverse question

Just had a short throw, bent change arm fitted to go with "competition" 
gearknob. Drives great after years of wondering whether to I got it done and it 
makes such a difference. BUT, although it drives fine, I got reverse once when 
parking. Drove off did 15 miles and since then it simply won't go into reverse.

All four gears are there as is o/d (which has just been re-wired) and the gate 
feels to be "in the right place". No crunching noises from the 'box.

Anybody any ideas?
