Thanks to all for the very helpful ideas on the thrust washer adjustment. A marble top and 1500 grit wet/dry with WD40 did the trick. Only took about 5 min.. to take off one thousandth. Very pleasantly surprised. And it really amazes me how that small amount can make such a huge difference between 2 rotating metal surfaces. Thanks again, Mark |
