A simple thing and you probably know this, but some cars, including healeys, do not "settle" until they roll a bit, they don't come down all the way straight off the jack/lift. Probably not that simple, but easy to try of you haven't already. Other than that not much help, I felt my front end was too high and shimmed the front spring plates down about 3/4 of an inch using longer grade 8 bolts and spacers.
