Since I am in the middle of my move to Dallas, I did what I swore I
wouldn't do and started farming out work on the Healey. I have the
car at Jay Meirs shop in Houston to finish the mechanical assembly. I
also sent the carbs I was working on out to be finished to Jim Taylor
in OK. I cannot believe the quality of work I received at a very
reasonable cost. The proof will be on the car, but my experience was
outstanding!
Now for my question. Both of my sets of H4 carbs have slightly
different Cooper pancake style air filters instead of the Burgess that
originally came with the car. I have elected to go with one of these
sets for now, but need to clean them up. What color were the Burgess
filters so I can make these look correct at a glance. Also, any
chance someone knows a rattlecan that is close?
Thanks
Patton
