I've actually had a couple of weekends in a row to work on the Healey
and have been deadicating it to trim. Since very little trim was on
the car I am flying blind on some of this.
How do I install the chrome trim piece that covers the lip on the
lower part of the grill opening. The contour doesn't match, so it
looks like I am going to have to pursuade it into shape, the just
push it on. That can't be good for my paint.
I only had one of the little tube spacers that mount the heater
control, what do I call that to order one?
What should the head of the bolt in the center of the dash look like?
How do I tell the left door check strap from the right one?
One of my Headlight assembles is missing the three adjusting bolts,
springs, and the threaded incerts that extend back. Can these be
bought, or do I have to get another assembly?
To rant a moment, my PO replaced all of the chrome with bad
reproduction parts. Both posts on the winged badge came off on mine,
and JB Weld didn't hold. Also the top surround for the grill has a
1/2 gap from the shroud. D@^^n cheap reproduction parts.
The odds are high that I am go to have to move the Healey permanently
out of this garage. I am trying to get it back in (mostly) one piece
before that happens. I will probably jump on the interiir as soon as
this is done
