Tom:
Pressure: - SU carbs don't want any more than 2.5 - 3.5 psi, otherwise the
float needles will start to lift off the seats resulting in flooding /
overflow. Higher pressure pumps will need a pressure reducing valve in the
fuel line.
Flow: - well ---------- the pump should deliver enough fuel so that the
float bowls don't start to empty when you are screaming up a long hill with
your foot to the floor, thereby losing power when the engine leans out
because there is simply not enough gas - can't let your buddies beat you up
that hill!
There is a flow test outlined in the workshop manual that gets pretty picky.
The 'flat out up a hill' test is probably just as good for our purposes, and
definitely way more fun.

"It is a diaphragm type pump with correct pressure and flow specs for SU
carbs"
What are the correct pressure and flow specs for SU carbs? Are they all the
same?
Thanks
Tom
