do, except leak oil".

In today's newspaper column, Tom and Ray Magliozzi, (Click and Clack Talk
Cars) respond to a question from a 25-year-old graduate student who is
interested in purchasing an older two-door convertible car that is fun to
drive, reliable and relatively inexpensive to maintain/repair. The student
states that he really likes MGs but he read somewhere that they need frequent
maintenance.
Ray's response was that his brother has an old MG. He can attest to the
fact that it never requires any maintenance - only emergency repairs. He's
too busy rebuilding the engine, retrieving wheels that have fallen off and
putting out stubborn engine fires to worry about maintenance.
Tom chimes in with a recommendation that if the MG is the type of car he is
looking for - a small, two-seat British sports car - then he should set his
sights on a Mazda Miata. "That basically does everything a classic British
sports car was supposed to do, except leak oil".
