Ned: The condition you describe is an indication that there may have been
an accident that caused the frame to be bent or the lower control arm mounts
to become misaligned. There is no adjustment that will correct it other
than perhaps using eccentric bushings used by racers to increase negative
camber (good for maybe one degree or so).
I have seen this condition successfully corrected by slotting the mounting
holes in the shocks, but I'm sure many would object to this impure solution.
I seem to remember that you recently rebuilt your entire front end. Did
this condition exist before you did the rebuild? Did you set the ride
height properly? Is the engine in the car so the suspension is loaded as
normal? does the car list to one side or the other? How much tilt is
there?
