Hi Mel,
I priced rivet squeezers and decided they were too pricey for the amount of
work I would use it for. I made a squeezer with a 5" C-clamp and a center
punch. I can't remember what type of rivets were originally used (solid?)
but I went with tubular rivets which look correct to the casual viewer. I
posted a picture and basic instructions on the British Car Forum a while
back. The only real tool needed to make it is some sort of welder. Here is
the link.

Healey Folks,
I am in the process of installing my rear shroud and need to know how others
have installed the rivets. I have the rivets but am perplexed as to how I
am going to install them. Is there a special tool that I need?
I also need to fabricate a new tie-bar that connects the left and right air
intake deflectors on my BJ8 and I need to know the length of this bar.
Thanks.
